OCTOBER

Summer's over,fall is here,the weather is now cool
And the kids are all happily going back to school
Farmers are all busy with the baling of their hay
And squirrels all a scurry trying to gather nuts
To store inside the nest for the cold winters day
Autumn leaves are turning,red,yellow and brown
As they let go their grip and fall to the ground
Crops are finished ripening out in the field
And we all are hoping for a bountiful yield
Golden grain,shiny fruit,veggies firm and sound
Put them all together,it's the best meal around
It's football season,for which team do you root?
I'm not a football fan so I don't give a hoot
The kids are all excited cause it's about Halloween
They might go to the party dressed as a fairy queen
Spooky ghosts and goblins will be lurking all about
From behind a tree they'll jump and boo they'll shout
Trick or treaters coming,coming by the score
Give them some candy and then give them some more
October will soon be over in a big spooky fog
November is the next month but that's another blog.
