HUMAN NATURES' PARADOX
A quick little poem inspired by comments
I read on facebook today
It's 110 degrees in the shade
For all the winter complaints
Yeah,we're really getting paid
All this summer,so full of sweat
We griped about the heat I bet
Sunstroke,heatstroke all abound
Wishing for winter all around
Autumn is here giving us a sign
Of a cold winter not so benign
All over facebook and downtown
If you go you'll hear this sound
Why does it have to be so cold?.
Just a minute if I may be so bold
A month ago you were saying
It's hot as hell,now you're paying
When it's dry we holler for rain
But when it comes then it's a pain
We all complain because it's wet
We want some more sunshine yet
We don't like when it when it's hot
We don't like when it when it's not
When it's cold we shiver and freeze
When it's hot we pray for a breeze
Never satisfied,that's what I say
That's just our human nature today
Now I'm not saying I'm any better
It describes me right to the letter
I found out as I'm getting older
My hots are hotter and colds colder
But I'm retired and no longer work
I'll sit in the shade and laugh like a jerk
