NO LONGER ME

I got old and I'm no longer me

I can't be the one I want to be

In the mirror, Oh what do I see

Some old man looking back at me

In my mind I'm about twenty three

As strong and athletic as can be

Lots of energy, filled with glee

I'd run a mile and climb a tree

Now it tires me just to go pee

Any more steps than two or three

I take in my power chair, you see

My oxy machine is in love with me

Wherever I am is where it'll be

Sound it makes I bet you'll agree

Name Darth Vader fits it to a tee

But for me no need to feel sorry

Though my life was never carefree

I had lots of love, I'll guarantee

Have seven kids that still love me

Got a new grandkid, cute girl baby

Makes seventeen and one soon to be

I had a good life, an angel trainee

Now though I'm an athletic wannabe

In my power chair I drink my chablis

Just Darth Vader, my memories and me
