A MIDNIGHT SNACK

Went to the fridge late last night
Hunger putting up a terrible fight
Though I searched with lots of care
A midnight snack just wasn't there
No left over chicken, pork or roast
So all I got was a slice of toast
On this toast I stacked an egg
And some cheese from a little keg
Bacon and sausage, I had none
So I ate my toast till I was done
Not much but my hunger was fed
So I turned around and went to bed
