St Patricks day is here at last


Faith and Beggorrah and a tankard of ale

Saint Paddys day got here without fail

Now why should ye Irish have all the fun

Let's get together and show how it's done

Be ye American, or English or even French

Be Ye a man, or a lad or even a wench

Lift your cup and drink your Irish coffee

Then gather around and lend an ear to me

St. Patricks day.. one of the few ye wish

To grab a fistful a nuts from outta the dish

Get determinedly whacked and make a fool

of oneself under the guise of acting Irishly cool

Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter

Poems and jokes, songs and fun ever after

Be it Irish whiskey or ale or American beer

Ye drink it right down and be of good cheer

And a thousand welcomes when anyone comes...

Whether friend or foe, or be they bums or chums

On St. Paddys day here's what you should do

Ye tell them that it's just the Irish in you!
