SAINT PATRICKS DAY IS CLOSER YET

Saint Patricks day is closer yet
So I went into my clothes closet
And I looked all round and round
Wasn't a bit of green to be found
Not a green shirt, no green pants
Not anything to give me a chance
To make the day with nary a pinch
Now wearing green may be nonsense
But the whole spirit of having fun
Is meant to be around for everyone
Now Faith & Begorrah is very vogue
Especially if said in Irish brogue
A bit of blarney and an Irish tale
Then finish it off with Irish Ale
What? You have no Irish Ale you say
Here in America beer will work okay
Some like Corona and some like Busch
Nobody likes it spilled on their tush
Some like Budwieser and some Michelob
Today beer is beer all over the globe
But it don't help with my predicament
I gotta wear green in order to prevent
Leprechauns,people & my favorite wench
From sneaking up and giving me a pinch
Looked in my dresser for sumthin green
Dug through it all,still came up clean
Just got an idea, I know what I'll do
Even if it sounds a bit funny to you
I don't wanna shop for my green needs
I'm just gonna use my Mardi Gras beads
And if you want, when I get through
I Just might send a few to you
