NOVEMBER

Oh Halloween has come and gone,The kids got lots of candy to eat

 

And now November's going strong,My favorite time,it cant be beat

Thanksgiving soon'll come along,Time to praise and give thanks complete

Some try to skip it but it's wrong,Christmas will wait,take a backseat

 

Until after our dinner bells' gong,Family meals won't accept defeat

Thanksgiving visits all daylong,Meals at Grandmas they're so neat

Turkey and ham, it all goes along,With lots of other things to eat

 

For gathered families in a throng,Thanking the Lord all in one beat

 

After the meal football comes along,Who will win and who will they defeat

 

About now deer season's going strong,Everyone wants fresh venison to eat

 

Swear he had antlers three feet long,They missed the shot but it was neat

Walmart's ready for a Christmas throng,With holiday prices that can't be beat

 

You hear the sounds a Christmas song,Soon up the road and down the street

 

Carolers will sing till evening is gone,Soon Santa is bringing the kids a treat

 

And bringing Mom perfume so strong,Dad gets socks and a bowtie so neat

 

The rest of the year seemed so long,Father time's worn down as the years repeat

The New year comes in a babys'sarong,Getting ready the new year to greet

And now no more my poem will I prolong,This old year has really been sweet
