IN MEMORY OF GOOBER DOG

Now although Goober Dog is dead and gone
The wonderful memories, still live on and on
All my years on Earth, I've still yet to see
A dog nearly even halfway as unselfish as he
Any new thing we got for our little farm yet
Goober took over and treated them like a pet
Twas a funny sight worth a dollar and a half
The time he brought a rabbit to the new calf
Pigs or turkeys,chickens, or even ducks too
When they're little Goober tried to feed you
He'd catch rabbits and bring em home neat
And try to give them to the babies to eat
To some this might sound really,really bad
But I say Goober was giving the best he had
