Strange duet
Goobers new friend was just a pup
Because his mothers milk dried up
We brought him home six weeks old
We gonna feed him as we were told
Canned milk out of a babys bottle
Not for long the pup didnt dawdle
Seemed not to miss his momma much
Goober took over,had a magic touch
He sleeps with him so hes not cold
Went hunting just like he was told
Brought back a rabbit for the pup
Goober tried but couldn't keep up
Puppys breed was a English Mastiff
50 lbs of dogfood was only a whiff
So we helped Goober feed his friend
Goober became a singing teacher then
Goober was small, might go 15 pounds
His friend, at age of 1, or around
Was hugh,weighed 380,big old thing
Funny to see and to hear them sing
Have you ever heard a hunting dog bay
Their duet sure sounded strange I say
Large dog and small and pretty soon
In harmony theyre baying at the moon
