DON'T GET YOUR FEET WET

My Dad and my Uncle,out in his boat
Fishing and taking a relaxing float
Trolling around fishing, having fun
In came clouds blotting out the sun
So for the shore they made their run
Started sooner,they should have done
The waves got higher and higher still
Show no alarm or see the family will
So they had to make a really cool save
They rode ashore on the top of a wave
Kicked up the motor and shut it down
On shore about 10 feet,no water around
Boat sailed thru the air and then it hit
They didn't act surprised,not one bit
Stepped over the side,and you can bet
Said "Didn't want to get our feet wet"
Went to the camp,sat down,got a beer
If you're cool like us,ain't nothing to fear
An accident,yes and a stroke of luck
He couldn't do it again, I bet a buck
The other campers thought it was cool
But the family they just couldn't fool
