CHIVALRY

They say nowadays that chivalry's dead
I say it's not, It's all in their head
Books about Sir Walter Raleigh I read
Covered up the mud  because ladies dread
Getting their pretty feet dirty as they tread
Across the road when shopping for bread
With his brand new cloak which he shed
He did this deed without a promise said
He did it just as a kind service instead

It's a bit harder now to know what to do
You hold open a door they get mad at you
Try helping a woman reach on a high shelf
She may curse,saying she can do it herself
If you help you're a male chauvinist pig
If you don't then you're one just as big
Now you tell me "What is a man gonna do?"
Cause these women have equal rights too

Now get off work and you're really tired
She's been bored all day,now she's wired
Wants to go out,dancing and have some fun
Hard for her to see that you're all done
Oh,She might tell you,she does understand
Buy that,and I gotta lake in the desert sand
You better go don't rest your weary head
Or you'll show her your chivalry IS dead
