ATTITUDES IN PERPETUITY

When in the course of human events,
I observed with my people watching,
And reading all the facebook comments,
One of the hobbies that I now pursue,
Since I can't work or handily get around,
I am studying all the ways of me and you,
Anger, cynicism and beligerence abound,
More and more as the decades pass too,
That's what I think that I have found,
Sarcasm is there and the "I don't care",
Attitudes from the younger generations,
This is nothing new,Socrates said beware,
Thru the ages men gave their exclamations,
Plato, Da Vinci, all of the men of note,
Foretold of the downfall of all mankind,
Allah, Budda, Confucious, they all wrote,
That younger generations, they did find,
Were about as useful as a hole in a boat,
In the practice of respecting their elders,
Or courtesy they've the manners of a goat,
But this I say and I'm telling you today,
Fifty years hence, they'll say the same,
The next new generation has hell to pay,
Do not mind, sign of the time,my friend
Happens over and over I have got to say,
And it always will untill the very end.
