Now my Aunt's,parrot, his name was Clem
His age was unknown for the likes of him
The pet shop where she got him said fifty
When she bought him and she asked them
She had trained him for 10 years or more
And gave him the freedom to go out the door
Clem was no dummy as he flew into the sky
He knew it was home and back he would soar
Perch on the back porch, the door it was by
Clems doors always open so in he could fly

He didn't just talk, he whistled better than me
Clems voice could be heard from all around too
He whistled and called dogs, twas quite a trick
When they came in the back yard down he flew
He'd land on their head, the hair he'd pick
As in this town bald headed dogs grew thick
Till the day my Aunt thought Clem was sick
Feathers all ruffled and some falling out
All Clem did was sit on his perch and pout
Now this went on for weeks two maybe three
When we saw Clem fly out and land in a tree
Up in the tree we heard plain as could be
Clem was now calling Here kitty kitty
