APRIL FOOLS DAY AND EASTER


April fools day and Easter came together this year

But I won't be fooled about Easter, be of good cheer

Easter's for new beginnings,resurrection and new life

April fools day is for fun pranks and humorous strife

I just won the lottery, I'm gonna keep it to myself

If they find out they'll be crawling from every shelf

When I pull my checkbook watching for all the drools

Thats when I'll put it back and holler April fools

Now Easter is a bit more down to earth and fun

Hiding eggs for the kids, hope they find every one

New Easter dresses and pretty hats and shoes galore

Change clothes for the hunt.Do we eat after or before

To the kids now Easter is all mostly fun and game

But Easter is a celebration in itself all the same

Commemorating our Saviour rising from the grave

New life from winters cold, spring time did save

Baby bunnies, baby chicks, all new lives unfold

Just as in the Bible the word of God foretold

Have fun with April fools, easter eggs and such

Just keep Jesus on your mind, more or just as much

For he died for all of us and as our sins still  abound

In his sweet grace I renewed the faith that I had found
