STORY TIME FOR THE GRANDKIDS

My grandkids Nathan and Kyla stayed with me a few days
and wanted me to tell them a story.
So in the interest of having fun here's what I told them;

Well kids, Way back before you were born and I was just a
young man, I won a sweepstakes from a big bicycle company    
I won a biking tour through Europe for me and two friends
All expenses paid,and new bikes and we got to keep the bikes

I decided to take Sam and Andy
Sam and Andy were normal type guys but Andy was a bit goofy,
A great friend and all but he just had to have his fun

Kyla; "What happened on the trip Gpa?"
Me;  "I'm getting to that Kyla."

As we were biking through France, Andy got nabbed for smoking pot
And as Sam and I were with him needless to say we got arrested too.
We were charged with various crimes and were taken to the Guillotine.

Nathan; "Is that where they chop off peoples heads?"
Me; "It sure enough is Nathan."

The executioner placed Sam on the block and asks if he has any last words.
Sam replies, "I pray to the Virgin Mary that I may live." They drop the blade
And it stops a mere inch above Sams neck. Amazed, the French let him go.

Kyla; "Why'd it stop gpa?"
Me;  "You'll see Kyla."

Next, I'm put in position and asked if I have any final words. I reply,
"In the name of Jesus Christ, please have mercy." They drop the blade, and again
It stops just an inch from my neck too. In disbelief, they let me go free.

Then Andy is placed on the block, and they ask if he has any last words.
Andy,still a little high says, "Yeah. You've got a knot in your rope."

Nathan askes: "Gee Grandpa, What happened then?"
Me;  "Oh, They made us go through it again and we got killed
but we still got to keep the bikes."
