YOU STOPPED

My Uncle Buck,in his younger day
He was a real character I must say
With a grace that must be the lords
You crossed the rivers at the fords
By the river Buck was fishing one day
Along came a truck with a load of hay
The man stopped, and from it did climb
30 miles to the bridge and I'm outta time
He asked,"Can I cross here in my truck?"
As he threw two bits to my Uncle Buck
If you don't stop,you won't get stuck
Go straight across,to the cotton crop
But whatever you do just don't stop
The mans truck got about 1/2 way,Bud
When it bogged down stuck in the mud
You said I could cross the river here
To Buck these angry words he did drop
I told you, you could if you didn't stop,
YOU STOPPED!!!
