But they're common for you and me,
Not a thing to have upon our dish,
We always think "it can't happen to me",
That way of age old thinking's broke,
I smoked, they say bad, don't you see,
The rust, the dust, the welding smoke,
Oh, how really careless can one man be,
Ammonia gas, I thot that I would choke,
Fertilizer dust from cleaning rail cars,
Put em all together, shake em in a poke,
They gave me COPD,from nicotine and tars,
And the rest of it all, I took as a joke,
Happen to me? It did, with a lot strife,
Too late for me but listen if you will,
As you go through the rest of your life,
Care for youself or take a bitter pill,
For death's edge is sharp as a knife,
And Death can find you when it will.
I know it sounds morbid, wasn't meant to be,
It's only written to keep my spirits up,
For the fun of it,hope that you can see,
